1. Domain name www.homecitrusgrowers.co.uk re-directs browser to www.saalfelds.freeserve.co.uk . Site is then hosted by Wanadoo, formerly Freeserve. Pages are hosted either with the base address of
www.saalfelds.freeserve.co.uk/ or http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/homecitrusgrowers/

2. Site mainly created by CoolPage2.7 software, published by 3Dize Inc. The basic version is free, but I use the 'Webmaster' version. This is a 'wysiwyg' program that allows you to drag and drop text blocks and images around the screen. I have deliberately avoided frames and the use of fancy animations.
The table in varieties in my collection is imported from Microsoft FrontPage express, as I couldn't seem to do it in CoolPage. Coloured headings are produced from XaraOnLine.

3. Site is checked using MS Internet Explorer 6. Other compatibility is not guaranteed. I have seen one AppleMac/Netscape combination that produces overlapping text and images.

4. Images are usually produced by me. The few exceptions always have the source acknowledged. Early photos were taken with a Fuji MX-1700 1.5mega-pixel digital camera. More recent, with a Minolta Dimage Z1. Other images are scanned using an Agfa 1212u scanner. Many leaves, twigs and even quite large fruits give excellent results on a scanner.
Images are compressed usually to the range 5 to15Kb. Those on the pages of higher definition images can be up to 50Kb.
Microscope images and the one video file were taken with an Intelplay QX3 microscope.
